| Have you thought about
how you are going to feel in heaven when your work is being
tested?
I'm sure when we see others have used their time and gifts
better than we have it will pierce the heart. The way I read
about our work in 1 Corinthians 3:5-15 our work will be stacked
up beside us and the Lord will set it on fire and it will
be tested to see what sort it is. If anyone's work which he
has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's
work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be
saved, yet so as through fire. Do you not know that you are
the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him.
For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."
We are to be working and building. I was reminded that I
shouldn't be wasting my gifts. Have you ever been to the point
that it's not worth building? Have you been to the point that
you and the friend don't see things the same and you have
to give them up because if you don't than you will compromise?
I have had to do that a lot lately. I have ones that can't
forgive me, I have
ones that have forgiven me and I'm thankful but I have given
up several and that makes me want to give up all of them so
they don't have to deal with me.
We are to be examples!!!! No matter how tired we get or how
unfair it is...we are to build our example to be Christ like!
Being an "example" that is a very tall order given
us. We are called to be holy and righteous and not given into
things of the world and yet it is just that very thing that
causes us to lose friends or give them up in my case. You
are joining with them?
Almost every one of my lists (the ones that talk anyway)
I have upset someone to leave my friendship or I have left
them. Why do I leave when they are willing and some even insist
they will not stop being my friend no matter what I do or
say? I leave because I feel I am not the example they should
be close too. Now, you are going to say, "Krissy, why
do you feel you are not a good example?"
I preach, "live better lives, put your faith and trust
in God." The fact is I haven't been able to do that myself
lately. With a bunch of trials from God I have just laid down
like the mule and said, Why should I care about friends and
I have given them up and refused to take knew ones. I don't
want the pain of them and I'm tired of being the example.
Who cares anyway no one is
listening!!
God cares!! He cares that we are struggling that we have
those that don't believe we are trusting. We have those who
say net friends aren't real. That one always gets me most.
We have those saying all the time God is love and being good
is enough.
What will we feel when our stack burns to an inch and you
are standing by someone who's stack won't burn or all those
around you have stacks over their heads and yours you can't
see? We will suffer loss it says, so we will feel our "waste"
of time with our gifts.
It's not a time to be playing around and joining others.
It is a time to be setting examples even if we are all alone
doing it.
