Have you ever attended
a church service, youth group meeting, or conference where
the speaker was just unbelievably inspiring? Our first inclination
after leaving such an event in which we are pumped up, filled
with the Holy Spirit, ready to go out and preach to the world,
is to say, "man, that was the greatest speaker I've ever
heard, he is so great." Most of the time, we forget that
what we should be praising is the presence of the Holy Spirit
in this person's life and at the event. It is important that
we remember that we are only great when we have God on our
side, and He is acting through us to have His will done. Therefore,
give praise to the Father by lifting up the speaker to God
and ask that God would work through them (and you) to do mighty
things.
